Join the So What Can I Do Kiva Team.

Kiva, one of my favorite microloan agencies now has Team Lending. When you join the So What Can I Do Kiva Team you join other readers who understand the microloans are an important tool in sustainable development. You can make a loan for as little as $25, and together we'll make a big difference.

Hi Karama. I love your blog. I was wondering if you'd hop over to my site, Lend4Health. It's at http://www.lend4health.blogspot.com. I started Lend4Health at the end of June, inspired by Kiva, and hoping to help some families who are recovering their children from autism. Lend4Health is similar to Kiva in that it facilitates person-to-person interest-free microloans. The difference is that, while Kiva is helping entrepreneurs in other countries, Lend4Health is helping families here in the United States (for now) who need help paying for their health-related needs. It's kind of like a cross between fundraising and microlending. I am currently in the beta stage, or at least that's how I have come to look at it since I started in June because I have learned so much. We have fulfilled loans for 9 kids so far and have 3 left to fulfill. My next step is getting the site nicer-looking and then sending out a press release. So far Lend4Health has been covered by the Orange County Register and by ABC News.com, which is great considering I didn't even do a press release yet . . . they just found me! :)

I would love your help in spreading the word about Lend4Health. I think it fits easily within your blog of what people can do to help change a child's life.

By the way, although I currently am doing the beta test on autism recovery, my plan is to expand the site to cover other health-related issues.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks, and keep up the great work!
