March forth!

A few years ago, a friend of my mother's told her that hers is the only birthday that is also a command: March 'Forth!' So in honor of my mother's birthday today, I'm asking the readers of 'So what can I do' to march forth out of the shadows, sort of a delurking day. If you would, please leave a comment and let me know you're out there. Today is also World Day of Prayer. So feel free to use the comment space to talk about what you'll pray for, make a suggestion for 'So what can I do', send a shout out to a friend, or even wish my mother, Janet, a happy birthday. Thanks for reading! I hope to hear from you.

I pray that we all seek and walk the path the Creator has for us and do the work (personal and otherwise) that She would have us do.

Happy birthday, Mommy!

Happy Birthday Ms. Janet!!! Karama please send my best wishes to your mother on her birthday. I truly enjoy browsing this blog whenever I get a chance.

It's been very beneficial to me personally. I even applied for a virtual volunteer position today.

Thanks and I'll be praying for much happiness for you and yours!!

Happy Birthday Madame Cobb! I see I'm a few days late, but have the sneaking suspicion you celebrate everyday like your birthday.

I submitted a letter to the editor regarding World Day of Prayer to my local paper here in Atlanta. Actually its my daily prayer for the world. I'm including it on your post "Sweet Justice" and thank you for demanding that we look up, elevate and uplift public consciousness (as well as our own).

Here's my Lte...

Dear Editor,

A friend told me Friday, March 4th is "World Day of Prayer." I think I could have gotten away responding with a burp and mindful thank you. There seems to be a cornucopia of colored ribbons, license plates, and bumper stickers making some special appeal.

But I sat quietly for a moment, thinking; "How am I praying for the world?" A quote from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures came to mind. "One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself.'" My prayer for the world is that we acknowledge-even slightly-this infinite God, good, love, working in us, around us, and filling all space.
